The seat is 17, I measured against bottom of horn to front. The patent number is stamped in tree. I measured 7. It weighs around 25lbs.
This saddle is ready to go out on the trail and should give you years more use. Nice lightly used Simco trail saddle. There are some stains on leather. It is fairly light but feels well built.
There is a little nick in the leather on back of seat. It is model stamped on the underside of saddle not recommended for roping. I purchased it at a ranch sale couple of years ago and never used. I have shown this in pictures.
The leather was a little dry but it is oiling nice. The gullet looks pretty wide.
