Details:

Beautifully floral tooled western trail saddle in medium brown leather the gullet measures 7 across, at level of front conchs, with flare front, allowing greater shoulder movement. Upon receiving it, I thoroughly cleaned and oiled so the leather is nice supple, ready to ride, with stirrups nicely pre-turned for comfort. Leather is in good condition, and soft clean, with no mildew smell.

This saddle has a round skirt, measuring between 21 to 23 in length , depending where measure from, making it ideal for shorter-backed horses. Suede seat has a shiny spot from normal wear. The fleece is clean and in good condition.

This was the closest of three to being a good match, fitting well in overall shape and size, with very comfortable seat for rider however, it pinched too much one area on his large working-horse shoulders. Saddle is light weight, at or under 25lbs. In regards to fit and usage: I recently purchased this saddle as my third attempt a short-backed, large-shouldered HQ, who is retired from ranch work, now being used for trail riding. Consequently, I have not used the saddle.

The horn and tree are tight, no defects known. Seat measures 15 from bottom of pommel to edge candle, and is suede, in a warm tan color. And it feels to be about this weight.
