I chose a conservative approach in cleaning the suede to avoid damaging it. Dixieland Custom Gaited Saddles became known for their quality and suitability gaited horses. If you know about Dixieland Saddles and their Amish craftsmanship, this is a find. The suede shows normal wear.

It is possible that they are removable or could be diminished with aggressive cleaning. There are three dark spots that clearly shown in the photos. This is a lovely saddle in good condition. If the brand is new to you: Dixieland Saddles were high-quality, handcrafted gaited saddles made by old order Amish craftsman Henry Miller.
